Therapeutic Riding was developed by the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association (NARHA).
Therapeutic riding employs a hose, a certified instructor, horse leader and side walkers in mounted activities with clients to change and enrich lives confronted with physical, cognitive and emotional disabilities.
Riding on a horse improves core strength, balance, coordination and awareness. Additionally self confidence and self esteem are increased. Focus is improved and clients are able to progress at their own pace toward a maximum level of function.
