Equine Assisted Psychotherapy incorporates horses experientially for emotional growth and learning. It is a collaborative effort between a horse, a horse professional and a licensed therapist working together with clients to provide mental health treatment. EAP is experiential in nature. Clients learn about themselves by participating in activities with horses and then processing feelings, behaviors and patterns.
All work is done on the ground and is solution based. Clients discover the best solutions for themselves. They are allowed to experiment, problem solve, tale risks, employ creativity and find their own solutions.
All therapy adheres to a strict code of ethics and a high standard of professionalism.
